Susan Sparks
MS, LPC, NCC, EMDR Certified
I’m Susan Sparks, LPC-86834, and I bring a holistic, trauma-informed lens to therapy, grounded in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship. I believe therapy is most effective when it feels safe, compassionate, and collaborative—a space where trust and attunement allow new patterns of connection and self-understanding to emerge. I work collaboratively with clients to explore how early relational experiences shape present-day challenges to foster healing.
My approach integrates interpersonal psychology, somatic experiencing, mindfulness, ecopsychology, and EMDR. I help clients reconnect with their bodies as sources of wisdom and resilience, while also honoring the restorative role of nature in our healing. Whether in the therapy room or outdoors, I offer a grounded presence and a relational space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to live with greater authenticity and wholeness.
More about me
I work with adults and adolescents navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, stress, and relationship concerns. In addition to my counseling practice, I hold a 200-hour yoga teacher certification, which enriches my work by supporting nervous system regulation, personal awareness, and self-compassion.
I earned my Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Kinesiology and Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington and my Master of Science in Counseling
and Development from Texas Woman’s University. I also serve as an adjunct professor and Director of Calm Convos at Texas Christian University.
